Why does Hurricane Katrina get the front page of global newspapers for weeks and it's own section in naional newspapers with its 1,000 deaths and an earthquake in East Asia that has killed at least 40,000 gets the front page for a day then a little blip there on after? It hardly makes sense to me...

i pondered that same question myself over a macaroni grill frappuccino monday morning...but the death toll was at 20,000...its up to 40,000 now?! jeepers!

I don't know...

All I know is I was watching the news the other day, and If I hadn't had company I would of cried. Something in me really wanted to jump on a plane and go help them.
